Switching Vision On to 140,000 employees around the world.

DHL Supply Chain’s strategy team approached us to support them with the launch of their new vision to 140,000 employees around the world. The new vision, ‘We want to be the Supply Chain solutions company for the world’, fed into the Group’s five year strategy and needed to reflect a new era for DHL Supply Chain.

In briefing discussions, we looked at how we could do this in an innovative way that would touch a highly segmented audience, whether they worked in warehouses or offices. We discussed what would appeal to those we were trying to reach – the ‘what’s in it for me?’. The outcome? A campaign which has already won awards involving a beautifully designed set of slides (in PowerPoint and PDF) with simple messaging which touches the whole audience, an interactive breakout session which has been highly engaging, posters, giveaways and a sting video.

These tools have been shared at a roadshow running around the world and delivered by leaders across the business, ensuring that employees understand the importance of the messaging. The results of the launch have been brilliant. In DHL’s internal scoring system, the campaign has scored 4.8 out of 5 across various measures and is being held up as the way communication should be managed. The results of the campaign will continue to be measured and fed into any future activity.
