CASE STUDY
adidas Group
Learning Campus
Introducing a new way of learning to all employees.
We supported the adidas Group’s global HR team in its quest to find a new way of learning. We were asked to partner the project team on consultancy and create a business case to get funding across the business. Once that had been achieved, our role was to create a communications plan and work closely with the project team to train and roll out the plan.
The aim was to change ‘learning’ across the adidas Group, moving from classroom-led learning to being self-taught and learning on-the-job. To get funding for the project, we created a compelling, strategic, business-focused presentation. We then turned our attention to engaging the 56,000 strong global workforce with a new way of learning, much of it online. This was a huge change from the 80% classroom-led learning that they were using at the time.
We provided leadership presentations, articulation of the vision, creation of campaign theme, workshops, communications plan, HR toolkit, global learning toolkit, videos, newsletters and online collateral. The culmination of the event was a Global Week of Learning. Success was measured through the use of the online ‘workouts’ – training sessions available through the intranet. Through the Global Week of Learning, use of these workouts increased dramatically. As a result, the perception of learning has been changed within the adidas Group and the way people learn has changed forever.
